Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery | Night Shift
Location: Eureka, California
Start Date: November 2, 2026
⏳ Contract: 26 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Yes, based on staffing needs
Assignment Highlights
- 26-week travel nursing opportunity
- High-risk obstetrics and culturally diverse patient population
- 11 rooms and 15 beds
- Average daily census of 15–20 patients
- Epic charting system
- First-time travelers accepted
- Postpartum experience preferred
- Floating within scope may be required
⚕️ Your Role
- Provide nursing care to laboring patients and support vaginal deliveries.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Administer Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and other medications as indicated.
- Provide postpartum and newborn care, including assessments and patient education.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation education.
- Manage obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Active California RN license required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- AWHONN Intermediate certification.
- Epic charting experience.
- Required L&D clinical skills and experience.
- Pending California licenses are not accepted.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Postpartum and newborn care experience.
- High-risk antepartum experience.
- Experience with cesarean section circulation and fetal monitoring.
Important Contract Requirements
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off.
- Weekend availability required based on staffing needs.
- Floating may be required within the nurse's scope of practice.
- COVID-19 vaccination not required.
- Flu vaccination policy to be confirmed.
