Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shift requiring critical access hospital experience and WA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Labor and Delivery unit with 3 LD rooms plus 1 triage room
  • Low-volume facility with under 100 births per month and approximately 20 deliveries monthly
  • Postpartum patients transferred to acute care
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required as needed within scope of practice
  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • Block scheduling available

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license
  • BLS and NRP certifications required (NRP may be obtained after offer but before start)
  • ACLS certification required
  • AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Critical access hospital experience required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Two professional references required in specialty
  • Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, vaccine administration, newborn care and assessment, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and postpartum vaginal delivery care

Additional Information

  • Provide labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care including newborn assessment and care
  • Start and maintain IVs and administer vaccines as needed
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
  • First-time travelers welcome to apply
  • Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
