**Join Our Team as a Labor and Delivery RN - Night Shift!** **Job Description:** - Are you passionate about providing exceptional nursing care to mothers and newborns? Join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery! - In this role, you will: - Deliver top-quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients. - Collaborate with other professionals to reflect the caring philosophy of our hospital. - Cross-train to provide care for Med Surg/EICU patients when needed. **Essential Duties:** - Complete initial nursing histories and assess patients’ conditions. - Develop individualized plans of care for assigned patients. - Triage patient care based on presenting or expressed symptoms. - Accurately administer medications and performs necessary interventions. - Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor and cervical ripening. - Handle medical emergencies with confidence and skill: - Prolapsed cord - Breech delivery - Postpartum hemorrhage - Uterine rupture - Management of meconium - Abruptio placenta and placenta previa - Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring accurately. - Address pregnancy-related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes. - Assess newborn conditions and recognize need for heightened surveillance or advanced care. - Perform neonatal resuscitation within your scope of practice and certification. - Monitor newborns for adverse events (e.g. hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice) and intervene appropriately. - Promote patient education and involve families in the care of their newborns. - Communicate effectively with the patients' care team and alert the provider about patient status changes promptly. - Embrace other responsibilities as requested. **Required Qualifications:** - A two-year degree in nursing is required; a four-year degree is preferred. - Must hold and maintain a Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. - AHA BLS certification within 1 month of hire. - NRP certification within 6 months of hire. - ALSo certification within 1 year of hire. - STABLE certification within 1 year of hire. - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification within 1 year of hire. - Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
