Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit featuring 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas
• Supports both low and high risk L&D cases with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• 4 weekend shifts required per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift
• Floating to Perinatal required as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in use of external fetal monitoring
• Skilled in recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Able to circulate for C-sections
• Experience with SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients across low and high risk cases
• Facility is smoke/nicotine-free and candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Must work most holidays with limited holiday RTO consideration
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for the contract and must be confirmed prior to submission
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Previous staff considered for return on a case-by-case basis
