Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of L&D experience and high-risk obstetric background for a 16-week travel assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and approximately 120 staff
• Day and night shift coverage includes charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN roles
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Uses Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Documentation via Cerner and Fetal Ink EMR systems
• Shift schedule runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Floating required to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
• No weekends or on-call required unless approved
• Unit performs vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy procedures

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCCEFM, intermediate or advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• Circulating experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Scrubs provided per unit dress code
• Candidates should be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable to fit unit culture
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
