Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Issaquah, Washington.
Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D):
Location: Issaquah, WA 98029
Contract Length: 13 or 26 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Charting System: Epic
BLS
FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate
Preferred Certification: ACLS
Swedish First Hill is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN will care for patients with routine and high-risk pregnancies, assist with OB-GYN procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe maternal and newborn outcomes.
8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Patient-to-staff ratio: approximately 1:1–3
Experience with labor, preterm labor, and high-risk deliveries
Floating may be required to Postpartum and potentially Labor & Delivery at Swedish First Hill, as applicable.
Provide nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.
Attend routine and high-risk deliveries.
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and identify complications.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate patterns.
Administer medications, including magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin, as ordered.
Manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, drains, and wound vacs.
Administer blood and blood products according to facility protocols.
Assist with OB-GYN surgeries, including preoperative, postoperative, and circulating responsibilities as required.
Provide couplet care, low-risk antepartum care, and transition nursery support.
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety.
Travelers may request up to two major holidays off. The unit requires travelers to work only one of the following three holiday periods:
Thanksgiving
Christmas / Christmas Eve
New Year's / New Year's Eve
Holiday requests are subject to facility approval.
