Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Mooresville, North Carolina. Join a collaborative obstetrics team supporting mothers and newborns near Lake Norman and the greater Charlotte region.

• Weekend / Holiday Coverage: Required
• Call: Low census call required
• Floating: May float to Post Partum as needed
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active North Carolina RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Required certifications in hand: AWHONN Intermediate, NRP, and BLS
• AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotation
• Must be comfortable caring for patients with pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes (GDM), oligohydramnios, gestational hypertension (GHTN), and other obstetric conditions
• Experience in a Level I nursery environment caring for patients greater than 35 weeks gestation
• Strong experience with Centricity preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Assist with scheduled inductions, cervical ripening, ECV, and cesarean sections
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring
• Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care
• Administer medications and therapies such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives as ordered
• Perform assessments including NSTs, sterile vaginal exams, fundus/lochia checks, and newborn assessments
• Respond to obstetric complications including hemorrhage, hypertension, and fetal heart rate abnormalities
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams
• Provide patient and family education related to labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate documentation and support a high standard of patient-centered care
