Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience, a CA RN license, and Advanced AWHONN certification.

Details

  • Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care Magnet-designated hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • No weekend requirements
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating between like units is required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN
  • LA City Fire Card required within the last 30 days
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit, including circulating for C-sections
  • Scrubs may be any color; L&D and OR scrubs are provided by facility
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates must disclose any license or background check issues at time of submission
  • Minimal RTO requests are preferred to avoid delays in the offer process
