Travel Nursing Job Details

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Arkansas before the start date
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Ability to float within the hospital as needed and within clinical scope of practice
• Two professional references available at the time of submission
• Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates are not eligible

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor maternal and fetal status, and recognize changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards of care
• Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal clinicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide patient education related to labor, delivery, recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Float within the hospital when needed while maintaining high standards of patient safety and nursing care
