Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Santa Monica, CA 90404

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Beachside acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. May float to postpartum as needed. Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.

Highlights:

• Work in a 266-bed acute care hospital with a beautiful beachside location
• Unit features 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• Approximately 200 deliveries per month with no on-call requirement
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
• This position offers an elevated seasonal winter rate from October 5, 2026 through February 26, 2027

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, and either AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM (AHA certifications required for ACLS/BLS)
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skills required: assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, high risk antepartum care, labor and delivery, sterile vaginal exam; scrub for C-section is a bonus
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of application
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
