Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN with 2 years of recent high-risk obstetrical experience for a night shift travel assignment requiring an active or pending MN RN license.

Details

  • Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
  • Work settings include antepartum care, labor and delivery management, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and obstetrical triage

Requirements

  • Active or pending MN RN license required
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • AWHONN Intermediate and FHM certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a large facility with a high-risk obstetrical patient population
  • First-time travelers not accepted unless they have solid experience in a large, high-risk facility
  • At least one supervisor reference required for consideration
  • Submission requires date of birth, SSN, and copy of certifications

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care including labor management, antepartum care, and triage of obstetrical patients
  • Assist with C-section procedures through circulating and scrubbing duties
  • Completion of pre-start modules required prior to starting the assignment
  • Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Returning staff must have at least 3 months since their last shift worked in a perm or per diem role
  • RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days
  • Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or for former perm employees
