Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, demonstrating clinical expertise and adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
• Utilize advanced assessment skills to monitor fetal and maternal wellbeing, intervening as necessary.
• Administer medications, including pitocin and magnesium sulfate, as prescribed and document care thoroughly.
• Float between labor and delivery and mother-baby units as required, adapting to dynamic patient care needs.
• Engage in patient and family education, providing emotional support and discharge instructions post-delivery.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing; compact license preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience required.
• Advanced certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Demonstrated flexibility with weekend shifts and holiday commitments.
• Experience in high-risk antepartum and mother-baby care preferred.
