Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and WA/compact licensure for a night shift 18-week assignment.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1845-0715
• Care includes high-risk antepartum, mother/baby, and postpartum patients
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips and C-Sections required
• Floating to Postpartum unit required based on patient care needs
• No block scheduling; flexibility required
• 18-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience in a unit with comparable volume and acuity required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including EFM and IUPC placement
• Experience managing high-risk OB conditions such as pre-eclampsia, PPROM, and placenta previa
• Skilled in postpartum care including couplet care and hemorrhage management

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care
• Support high-risk antepartum and newborn care including neonatal resuscitation
• Assist with C-Section circulation, scrubbing, and recovery
• RTO must be 5 days or less and disclosed prior to consideration
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local candidates
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
• Charge experience preferred but not required
