Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Shift: Nights, 8-hour shift
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Orientation Pay: 50%

Radius Rule: Must be 50 miles away from the facility 
 

Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate.

Please note that this position offers day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, and no on-call requirements. Nurses may be asked to float to similar units as needed.

Position Overview 

McLeod Health Clarendon is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to mothers and newborns. Candidates should have strong labor and delivery nursing experience and the ability to assess patients, implement appropriate nursing interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities 

• Assess patients using medical history, observations, physical examinations, and diagnostic data.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions based on the patient's plan of care and established standards.
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and promptly report changes.
• Support patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Maintain a caring and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Follow infection control, health, and patient safety protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Support new employees through mentoring and precepting when needed.
• Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and continuing education.
• Float to similar units as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification/Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Strong patient assessment and maternal-fetal care skills.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, patient safety, and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week.
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed.
