Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility
• Comprehensive unit with 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average of 7 deliveries daily, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Opportunity for charge nurse training or utilization of existing charge experience
• Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be in hand before final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Flexibility to float to similar units within scope as needed
