Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and on-call commitment.

Details

  • Work in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Scheduled for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus 4 twelve-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
  • Floating required to similar units as needed
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Current NRP certification (AHA only)
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days of start

  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
  • Deliver age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and nursing standards
  • Foster a compassionate, respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
  • Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
  • Precept and mentor novice staff while contributing to department growth through evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and educational offerings
