Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and 2+ years of L&D experience.

Details

  • Robust Labor and Delivery unit setting
  • 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (19:00-07:30)
  • Scheduled 3 12-hour shifts per week plus 4 12-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
  • Float to similar units as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AHA only
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days of start

Additional Information

  • Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
  • Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with plan of care and standards of practice
  • Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
  • Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
  • Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees
  • Participate in hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based practice growth
  • Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
