Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring Epic experience and CA licensure.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital environment
• Unit includes 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas
• Supports low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• On-call is voluntary; RN may be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift
• Floating required to Perinatal if needed
• Uses Epic and eMD Allscripts charting systems
• Uses Omnicell and SBAR communication systems

Requirements

• Active California RN license required at consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Allscripts charting experience preferred
• Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across triage, LDR, OR, and post-partum settings
• Circulate for cesarean section procedures as needed
• Monitor and manage fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Must work most holidays with limited holiday RTO consideration
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the contract
• All RTO must be submitted upfront and confirmed prior to assignment start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis
