Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Contract in Issaquah, Washington

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week travel nursing contract in Issaquah, Washington. Join a collaborative, on-site obstetric nursing team in a scenic community nestled in the foothills east of Seattle and known for its beautiful parks, outdoor recreation, and welcoming atmosphere. This travel RN assignment offers the opportunity to care for patients across labor, delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn transition settings while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220–$2,340
• Location: Issaquah, Washington
• Assignment Type: Travel contract
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Duration: 26 weeks, through May 10, 2027
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; posted pattern is four 12-hour shifts
• Unit: Labor & Delivery with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, and adults
• Typical Staffing Ratio: Approximately 1:1 to 1:3
• Charting: Epic

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or an active compact RN license in hand at submission
• Current BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• ACLS certification preferred
• Recent Epic experience required
• Demonstrated experience with obstetric triage, labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum care, and C-section recovery
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Ability to float to postpartum or another nearby affiliated unit based on competency and staffing needs

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, delivery, and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform obstetric triage, sterile vaginal examinations, fetal monitoring, and patient assessments
• Attend routine and high-risk deliveries and assist with the care of mothers and newborns
• Circulate for C-sections and support pre-operative, post-operative, OB-GYN, and GYN surgical care
• Care for patients in low-risk labor and delivery, low-risk antepartum, couplet care, and transition nursery settings
• Administer blood and blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, heparin, anticoagulants, and antihypertensive medications according to orders and protocol
• Manage epidural, PCA, and syringe pumps while providing ongoing pain assessment and management
• Maintain central lines and provide wound assessment and care, including wound vacuum therapy
• Use and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters and respond appropriately to changing maternal and fetal conditions
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, nursery staff, and other members of the care team
