Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Night or Mid 3x12-Hour shifts (either 3:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM). Every other weekend required. On-call required if cancelled. 13-week assignment with reduced orientation (36 hours vs. standard 40 hours).

Highlights:

• Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with Level III NICU capabilities
• High-volume unit with 200-300 births per month and 43 labor and delivery rooms
• Reduced non-billable orientation period for experienced travelers
• Epic charting system with OBIX fetal monitoring
• Opportunity to work with high-risk obstetric patients and diverse patient populations
• Flexibility to float between Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and High-Risk Antepartum units

Requirements:

• Active Oregon RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience required
• High-risk OB experience including magnesium sulfate therapy, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, and antepartum care
• Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, cesarean section circulation, vaginal delivery assistance, and fetal monitoring
• Experience with couplet care, postpartum hemorrhage management, and newborn assessment
• Ability to maintain 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratios
• Willingness to float to sister facilities within the health system as needed
• Reliable personal vehicle required for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (no Nursys or background hits accepted)
