Travel Nursing Job Details

• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to locations in Galion, Ontario, and Bucyrus based on staffing needs

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or valid compact-state license; pending licenses are not accepted
• At least 2 years of recent, continuous Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
• Must be willing to work night shifts and float between designated locations when needed
• If assigned on-call coverage, must be able to arrive within one hour of being called in
• Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, with medical or religious exemptions considered according to applicable policy
• Completion of required pre-start learning modules, which may include up to 8 hours through HealthStream

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments, complete nursing assessments, and accurately document patient care
• Support patients and families through delivery with clear communication, education, and compassionate guidance
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, newborn care teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assist with emergency responses and provide appropriate care during high-risk labor and delivery situations
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to established clinical standards
• Float to other designated locations when needed while maintaining high-quality maternal and newborn care
