Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Details

Labor and Delivery unit within an Ob Gyn Combined department
16-bed unit with patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines
7A-7P shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
5-6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
No scheduled call but subject to flex down based on unit census and staff rotation
Floating not required but may float to task or secretary role if needed
EHR system used is GE Centricity/Paragon

Requirements

Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (must have taken Intermediate course at least once, advanced acceptable if current)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Couplet care experience required
LDRP experience required
Some NICU experience required

Additional Information

Facility is a Duke Lifepoint Hospital and Joint Commission Accredited
205 licensed beds with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
Every other weekend coverage required
Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
