Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes females of childbearing years, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Uses fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems
• 3x12-hour shifts on an AM/PM rotation with a heavier lean toward night shifts (approximately 70-80%)
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Cerner experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the L&D unit including triage, admissions, labor support, and delivery assistance
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for consideration
