Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 1 year of L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Rotating day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) 3x12 hour shifts
  • Weekend shifts required per unit needs
  • On-call required per unit needs
  • Float required within the Women and Infant unit and may include floating within the metro region per facility needs
  • Epic charting system used
  • Navy scrub color required

Requirements

  • Active RN license, CO or compact license required
  • Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
  • AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Beginner certifications preferred
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • 2 years of overall RN experience required
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in labor and delivery management, including assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and fetal monitoring
  • Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
  • Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum stages
  • Support high-risk deliveries and obstetrical emergencies including hemorrhage and shock
  • Assist with newborn care immediately following delivery, including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
  • Completion of all facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
  • Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years will not be considered
  • Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year
  • Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting RTO during select weeks
  • No blocked scheduling requests permitted
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local bill rate
