Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and a CO or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours), including 7:00-19:30 and 19:00-7:30
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• On-call responsibilities required per unit needs
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Uses Epic for charting
• Float required within the Woman and Infant Unit and potentially within the metro region per facility needs

Requirements

• Active RN license, CO or Compact required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced and Beginner preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and managing high-risk deliveries
• Support antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care including fetal monitoring, medication administration, and newborn care
• Navy scrub color required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting time off during select weeks in September, October, November, and December 2026, and into January 2027
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this during consideration
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before returning
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
