  • Floating: May float between labor, antepartum, and mother-baby based on unit needs

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Active RN license in hand at submission
  • Current BLS certification
  • AWHONN Intermediate certification
  • NRP certification
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred/required
  • Comfort working high-risk obstetric (OB) cases
  • Ability to work with a 1:1 to 1:3 couplet care ratio
  • Reliable transportation/vehicle for the assignment
  • Availability to work 3 of 5 major holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring patients, postpartum couples, and newborns
  • Support high-risk obstetric patients using strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
  • Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in maternal or fetal condition
  • Perform newborn assessments and support thermoregulation, feeding, and transition care
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other unit-specific treatments as ordered
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Float to related women’s health areas as needed to support quality patient care
