You will support patients through triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care while using strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication in a busy obstetrics and labor and delivery unit.

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float between units based on needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience required; Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• Active RN license in the applicable state; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and STABLE
• Experience with Labor & Delivery nursing skills including cesarean section support, fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery, triage, and sterile vaginal exams
• Ability to work in a team-based, fast-moving maternity and women’s health environment
• Willingness to float as needed and participate in weekend and holiday coverage
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings
• Support triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care needs
• Assist with cesarean sections and circulate for C-sections as needed
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform clinical assessments, prepare patients for procedures, and support safe deliveries
• Collaborate with physicians, surgical techs, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent outcomes
• Deliver compassionate education and support to patients and families throughout the maternity experience
