- Setting: High-risk perinatal care in a Level III Labor & Delivery environment
- Schedule Notes: Weekends required; floating to Postpartum may be required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience in facilities handling 100-200+ deliveries preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring required
- Strong sterile vaginal exam (SVE) skills required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience caring for high-risk antepartum, labor, postpartum, and triage patients preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team-based maternal-child health setting
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring as indicated
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and recovery care
- Support high-risk obstetric patients, including those experiencing pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, and preterm labor
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and other essential Labor & Delivery assessments
- Collaborate with physicians, CRNAs, surgical techs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary support teams
- Float to Postpartum as needed and help ensure seamless patient care across the unit
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, birth, and postpartum recovery
