Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of specialty experience in a high-risk patient population and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope of practice to hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate and FHM certifications preferred
• 2 years of recent RN experience in a large facility with high-risk obstetric patients required
• Experience with antepartum care, labor and delivery management, and triage of obstetrical patients required
• Circulating and scrubbing for C-sections required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience may be required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Documentation required for consideration includes date of birth, SSN, and copy of certifications

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum management and obstetrical triage
• Care for high-risk obstetric patient population at a large facility
• First-time travelers considered only with solid experience at a large facility with high-risk patients
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility unless applying for a radiology position
• RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment for at least 3 months prior to starting as a traveler
• Minnesota state fingerprinting requirement applies, which may require travel to a LiveScan location if not near one
• Pre-start modules required, averaging 8 hours to complete
