• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays as needed
• Floating: May float to postpartum, antepartum, and occasionally nearby units based on skill set and unit needs

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity obstetric environment
• Must be comfortable circulating for C-sections and providing newborn care
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring strongly preferred
• ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a busy Labor & Delivery setting
• Circulate for C-sections and support safe perioperative workflows
• Act as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, including eyes, thighs, and vitamin K support
• Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric patients
• Administer and titrate medications such as magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin per protocol
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and recovery care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the care team to deliver safe, compassionate patient care
• Float as needed to postpartum, antepartum, or related areas based on patient needs
