Job Details

- Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
- Assignment Length: 26 weeks
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and select holidays required
- Floating: May float to postpartum, antepartum, or nearby sister units based on skillset and unit need
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and Epic documentation required
- BLS and NRP required
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, high-acuity obstetric environment
- Must be able to work collaboratively in accordance with established obstetric care guidelines
Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside nursing care for laboring patients and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
- Support high-risk deliveries and assist with vaginal and cesarean births
- Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide immediate newborn care until transfer to postpartum
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with perioperative maternal and newborn care
- Perform newborn assessments, including eyes/thighs and vitamin K preparation/administration support as assigned
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer and titrate medications commonly used in obstetric care, including magnesium sulfate, insulin, and pitocin
- Float as needed to postpartum, antepartum, or other nearby units where your skills are needed
