- Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
- Unit Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics
- Float Expectations: May float to Post-Partum and, based on skill set, nearby sister units
- Holiday Commitment: Travelers may be asked to work select holidays based on unit needs
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Epic charting experience required
- Active compact or Washington state RN license required at submission
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS preferred
- Experience with high-risk deliveries and obstetrical patient care
- Ability to provide 2 professional references covering the last year of experience
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns in a Labor & Delivery unit
- Assist with low- and high-risk deliveries, including attendance at deliveries as needed
- Circulate for C-sections and support pre-op and post-op patient care
- Monitor and manage obstetrical patients with preterm labor and high-risk antepartum needs
- Administer and manage medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, insulin, anticoagulation, and pain management
- Perform triage, assessment, and ongoing evaluation of obstetrical patients
- Support procedures such as epidural monitoring, blood product administration, and wound care
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary maternal-newborn care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and patient safety standards
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellent obstetric and maternal care
