Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of strong labor nursing experience and the ability to circulate own C-sections.

• LDRP unit caring for high-risk and antepartum patients
• Facility performs over 300 births per month
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• Rare floating to NICU as helping hands possible
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week minimum assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate and ACLS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Must be able to circulate own C-sections
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and antepartum care and procedures
• Experience in obstetrical patient triage

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery and C-section support
• Deliver postpartum care to patients following cesarean or vaginal delivery
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Seal blue scrub color required
• Must live at least 50 miles from all facility locations to be eligible
• Returning travelers are welcome back without any waiting period between contracts
• RTO considered on a per-contract basis with a maximum of 10 days
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role
