Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Spokane, WA 99204
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Spokane, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend shifts required. Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3. Floating between units may be required. 48-hour weeks approved.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment at a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma designations
- High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit managing approximately 3,600 deliveries annually with high-risk maternal-fetal medicine patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
- Free parking and opportunity to work in a collaborative teaching environment
- Opportunity to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and NRP
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with high-risk labor and delivery including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active labor management, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Proficiency in comprehensive L&D skills including cesarean sections, neonatal resuscitation, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and fetal monitoring
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float to Mother/Baby or other units as needed
