Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts

Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Your Role

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you'll provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, mothers, and newborns while supporting LDRP, nursery, OB triage, and related women’s health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based care to laboring and postpartum patients and newborns.
  • Manage patients with preterm labor, preeclampsia, fetal demise, and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Provide LDRP and couplet care, including mother-baby assessments and newborn care.
  • Support acute care nursery, OB triage, and circulator responsibilities.
  • Administer medications and therapies including Cytotec and magnesium as appropriate.
  • Perform newborn hearing screenings and support routine newborn care.
  • Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and changes in maternal or neonatal condition.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on documented competencies.
  • Participate in call and every-other-weekend coverage.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • 1 year of Epic experience required
  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN Intermediate
  • Strong L&D experience with LDRP and nursery responsibilities
  • Experience with OB triage, circulator duties, acute care nursery, and mother-baby/couplet care
  • Experience caring for high-risk OB patients
  • Patient ratio experience including 1:1 labor, 1:2 inductions, 1:1 magnesium patients, and 1:3 couplet care
  • Call and floating required
  • Every other weekend
  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
