Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and a Maryland or compact RN license.

Details

  • Labor & Delivery Unit providing obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
  • Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
  • Recently expanded with five new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring modern equipment and technology
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Rotating holidays and weekends required
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Patient ratio of 1:1-2

Requirements

  • Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • OB Triage experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted (C-EFM must be obtained if contract extensions meet or exceed 1 year from initial start date)
  • BLS and NRP certification required
  • ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
  • Meditech charting experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
  • Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure

Additional Information

  • Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care including circulating for C-sections
  • Work in a smoke-free facility environment
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and equal pay rate
  • RTO must be submitted with application and will be reviewed on a per-case basis
