• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 days and nights
• Float Requirement: May float to antepartum and other units within the organization as needed
• Weekend Coverage: No regular weekend requirement

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced required
• Epic experience required
• Strong IV start skills and hands-on L&D experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with floating as needed
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Support safe, compassionate care across antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum workflows
• Monitor fetal well-being and interpret strips, rhythms, and changes in maternal-fetal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Start and maintain IVs, administer blood products and medications, and manage infusions and drips
• Perform assessments including fundus, lochia, perineum, reflexes, edema, and pain
• Provide breastfeeding support, patient education, and family-centered care
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent outcomes for mothers and babies
• Adapt quickly in a high-volume Level IV Labor & Delivery unit while maintaining accuracy, safety, and empathy
