Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Portland, OR 97213
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; Mid shifts (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM) or Night shifts (3:00 AM - 3:00 PM); every other weekend required; on-call on scheduled days if cancelled; 1:1 patient ratios
Highlights:
- Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with a Level III NICU and approximately 200 births per month
- Gain experience in high-risk obstetrics, floating between Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby Unit, and Postpartum/Antepartum units
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Flexible shift start times with advance notice for schedule changes; 36-40 hours of paid orientation
- Opportunity to work across multiple facilities in the greater Portland area including Milwaukie, Newberg, Hood River, Willamette Falls, and Seaside
- Mileage reimbursement and incentive pay for certain float assignments
Requirements:
- Active Oregon RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic charting system experience required
- High-risk OB experience including magnesium sulfate therapy, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, and hemorrhage/shock protocols
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, cesarean section circulation/recovery, and couplet care
- Experience with 200-300 births per month facility volume preferred
- Must have reliable transportation; willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
