Travel Nurse Job Details

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced obstetric setting
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• Strong background in labor support, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
• Ability to provide care for neonates and adults in an LDRP environment
• Must be comfortable with weekend coverage and scheduled contract expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk births
• Support newborn assessment, stabilization, and early postpartum education
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services
• Provide patient and family education related to labor, delivery, newborn care, and recovery
• Maintain a calm, efficient approach in a busy unit with varied acuity and strong teamwork
