Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 labor rooms
• Comprehensive obstetric services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care clinic patients
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing complete newborn care including assessment, vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis
• Circulate for cesarean sections and manage complex cases including magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and anticoagulation therapy
• 13-week travel assignment with 36-40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience and electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse with complete newborn care skills including injections and assessments (hard stop requirement)
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Labor and Delivery coverage
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
