Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs

Requirements

• Active VA RN license or compact license in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, must be most recent experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• Epic charting system experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale education required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Labor and Delivery unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
• Minimize requests for time off during the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days total and no calendar week off preferred
• Time off requests must be submitted with the initial application and confirmed prior to assignment start
• Previous permanent employees must have a 6-month gap before being eligible for travel assignments
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
