Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a rotating day/night assignment requiring AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Facility delivers approximately 200-300 births per month
• Performs vaginal exams, assists with vaginal deliveries, and circulates for C-sections
• Starts IVs, draws blood, and assists with newborn stabilization using NRP skills
• Manages complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• Rotating 3x12 Day (7:00-19:30) and Night (19:00-7:30) shifts
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
• AHA certifications only accepted
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisor references preferred
• DL, SSN, and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates not accepted
• Must be willing to work every other holiday
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• First 8 hours of orientation are non-billable with approximately 1 hour of pre-start modules required before entering the facility
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Travelers who have completed a cumulative year within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
• Travel pairs considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
