Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Everett, WA 98201
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Everett, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage required. Float to Postpartum as needed. No call required. Guaranteed hours with potential for one 12-hour call-off per two-week period.
Highlights:
- High-risk perinatal care in a Level III facility with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU, and 7-bay triage
- Comprehensive maternity services at a Pavilion for Women and Children with Level II NICU
- Staffing ratios: 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, 1:2-3 in antepartum
- Robust interdisciplinary support including 3-4 delivering providers 24/7, 2 CRNAs 24/7, surgical techs, CNAs, and health unit coordinators
- Facility handles 200-300 deliveries per month with advanced maternal and neonatal care capabilities
- 40 hours of paid orientation with Epic charting system
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience in facilities handling 100+ deliveries per month preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must be proficient in sterile vaginal exams (SVE) – hardstop requirement
- Competency in high-risk deliveries, C-section recovery, fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care
- First-time travelers accepted; must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
