Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring both L&D and mother/baby experience along with an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a specialized Labor and Delivery unit with 16 LDRP rooms
• Unit includes a C-section Suite and PACU on the L&D floor
• 4 bed Special Care Nursery on the unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Closed specialty unit, no floating to outside units expected
• Candidates will float within the hospital

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• L&D and mother/baby experience required

Additional Information

• Unit is supported by preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation staff
• Participates in ongoing process improvement initiatives including Eat, Sleep, Console program, validated prenatal screening tools, and safe sleep initiatives
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be considered for return
• Requested time off must be listed on application and approved prior to confirmation
• Background checks will not accept DUI or DWI within the past year, other findings reviewed case by case
