Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
Highlights:
- High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month
- 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries including high-risk obstetrics
- Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
- Comprehensive newborn care responsibilities including functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and continuing care until transfer to postpartum
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team with interpretation services and staffing following AWHONN guidelines
- 91-day travel assignment with competitive compensation and support
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
- Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
- Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
- Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
- Must be able to provide comprehensive newborn care including eyes and Vitamin K injections, assessments, and APGAR scoring (hard stop requirement)
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, magnesium sulfate therapy, heparin, and insulin drips
- Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
