Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of L&D experience.

Details

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery/Nursery/Postpartum unit at a Level III Trauma Center
  • 5-bed L&D unit caring for maternity patients and newborns
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise
  • Facility performs its own C-sections; RN must be able to circulate
  • Uses OB TraceVue for fetal strip charting and Meditech as the EHR
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Works every other weekend on a rotating or as-needed basis
  • Call requirement of 2 shifts within a 6-week period
  • Floating required on an as-needed basis
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TN or compact) required
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Fetal monitoring experience required
  • PALS, Centricity, and couplet care experience preferred
  • Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients and newborns
  • Positive attitude, cooperative demeanor, and initiative are valued traits
  • Any scrub color is acceptable
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
