Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation unit requiring TX or compact RN license and fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a Level IV Maternal Designation facility
• Unit includes 26 LDR suites (including low intervention rooms), 6 C-section suites, 14 Triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 16 monitored Ante-partum rooms
• High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
• Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
• 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
• Facility supports a Perinatal Transport Program
• 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 06:45-19:15

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
• 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery setting supporting an academic teaching service
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply and reduce pay rate for candidates residing near the facility
