Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department. This night-shift position supports patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced labor and delivery setting. The role provides care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric cases while collaborating with interdisciplinary support services.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Block scheduling is available, with every-other-weekend coverage required.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent labor and delivery experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced unit
- Basic or intermediate fetal monitoring experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Travel nursing experience
- Additional Information:
- Patient ratio is approximately 1:3 on night shifts.
- Clinical responsibilities include labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum care, cesarean and vaginal delivery support, fetal monitoring, postpartum hemorrhage management, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and care for multiple gestations.
- Additional skills include amnioinfusion, neonatal resuscitation, epidural anesthesia support, fetal heart rate assessment, uterine monitoring, sterile vaginal examinations, intravenous therapy, blood product administration, and postpartum assessment.
- The unit supports adult patients and provides access to intravenous therapy, respiratory, interpretation, social services, rapid response, pharmacy, and unit secretary resources.
- First-time travelers may be considered when they have appropriate high-acuity labor and delivery experience.
