Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with couplet care and high-risk OB experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

  • LDRP unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • Couplet care with ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3
  • High-risk antepartum and high-risk delivery patient population
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours (6:45a-7:15p)
  • Every third weekend required
  • On-call required: two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
  • No floating required outside of the unit
  • Uses Epic EMR and Omnicell medication system

Requirements

  • Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP certifications required
  • AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and use of infusion pumps/drips required
  • SSN and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide labor and delivery management and postpartum couplet care
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and antepartum care
  • Scrubs provided by facility
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
  • Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is dependent on unit needs
  • Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
