Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Charge – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. This position regularly functions in the Charge Nurse role.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated facility with Level II Trauma designation
• Unit features 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms with an average of 7 deliveries daily
• Charge Nurse experience required or willingness to train for charge responsibilities
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13 or 26-week assignment with free parking and Epic charting system
• First-time travelers accepted with at least one year of experience

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required for immediate consideration (pending licenses accepted for screening)
• Minimum one year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred or willingness to train in charge role
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Willingness to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
